Board Manager lets users easily manage and publish boards, member details, appointments, vacancies and applications through a unified interface

1 March 2021 – Markham, Ontario: eScribe – a leading provider of cloud-based meeting management solutions for public sector boards and councils – today unveiled eScribe Board Manager – available in Lite or Plus – the latest offering in the company’s expanding array of solutions for streamlining organizations’ governance management workflows. Available on its own or as an integrated option for eScribe’s comprehensive meeting management system, the software lets municipalities, school districts, hospitals and other public sector entities easily manage their boards, member details, appointments, vacancies and applications through an intuitive, unified interface.

“Even in today’s increasingly digital world and work-from-home world, many public sector organizations are still managing their boards manually with spreadsheets, paper-filled binders and emailed vacancy applications,” said Benson Lu, director of software development at eScribe. “Publishing member, meeting and vacancy data on their website can also be cumbersome, often requiring manual edits to multiple pages and assistance from their IT or communications department. Board Manager lets users handle all facets of their boards online in one convenient location, saving significant time and costs while easily presenting up-to-date information to the public.”

Board Manager Lite’s intuitive dashboard gives users at-a-glance visibility of important items and lets them administer and publish board and member data as well as identify upcoming term expiries through a fully-responsive, browser-based interface. The software includes templates for board information and member details as well as configurable email alerts and notifications that can be sent automatically.

One-click publishing lets customers effortlessly present board and member information to the public in an easy-to-navigate format while integrating seamlessly with their existing website to preserve their branding.

The Plus version of Board Manager encompasses all the features of Board Manager Lite, while allowing the vacancy process to be easily managed. The public can apply for vacancies directly through the organization’s website, and users can review, search and take action on submitted applications – such as approving, rejecting or sharing the application with internal stakeholders – within the Board Manager Plus dashboard. Vacancy applications can be tailored, and applicant statuses can be customized to match an organization’s process.

“While eScribe is best known for our comprehensive meeting management platform, we continue to grow our product range to provide public-sector organizations with one-stop shopping for all of their legislative and governance management needs,” said Robert Treumann, President and CEO of eScribe. “Board Manager is an ideal complement to our highly-regarded Meeting Manager, forming a powerful combination for new customers while adding more value for existing eScribe users.”
