Letter from CEO Rob Treumann (Oct 7, 2020) — Ontarians supporting Ontarians
On behalf of the entire team at eScribe Software, I’m pleased to announce that eScribe has been accepted as part of the Ontario Made Program by Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME).
As Premier Doug Ford said in a press release around this Program:
Ontario has always been Canada’s workshop, and our products are recognized as the gold standard across the country and around the world… Promoting locally made products will be essential to building a strong, self-sufficient province and key to our economic recovery.
As a 100% made in Ontario company — headquartered in Markham — we have been helping our customers improve the efficiency, transparency and digital accessibility of their public meetings for over 10 years.
What this means for customers
COVID-19 has accelerated the pace of digital transformation. As hybrid meetings (a combination of in-person and remote attendance) become the new normal for public meetings, eScribe has become an essential platform in ensuring continuity of government by seamlessly integrating both meeting environments into a single, unified experience for members and public.
Playing our part in Ontario economic recovery
While many companies have been forced to shrink their workforce due to the pandemic, we were one of the lucky few who have been able to hire and grow our team over 15% this year.
January 1, 2021: AODA compliance
As you are already aware, all public sector organizations in Ontario must have 100% AODA compliance by the start of 2021. I am happy to inform you that besides being an Ontario company, our solution can also help you generate AODA and WCAG 2.0 compliant content to your public websites.
We would love to hear from you if you’re looking for ways to better manage your public meetings. Our team of governance experts are ready to help.
Stay safe,
Rob Treumann
