What is a Ballot?

A ballot is a method used to cast votes in an election or to make a decision by voting. In the context of elections, a ballot typically lists the candidates or options being voted on, and voters make their choice(s) accordingly. The ballot can be structured in different ways, such as a simple “yes” or “no” choice on a single issue, selecting one candidate from a list of several candidates, or ranking candidates in order of preference.
