What is a Borough?

A borough is a type of administrative division within a larger city or municipality. It is typically smaller in size and has its own local government or council responsible for certain services and functions within its boundaries.

Boroughs often have specific powers and responsibilities delegated to them by the central municipal government. These can include managing local parks, recreation facilities, zoning regulations, street maintenance, waste collection, and other services tailored to the needs of residents within the borough.
