What is a Constituent?

An individual who resides within a specific or administrative district and is represented by an elected official, such as a city council member, state legislator, or a member of the U.S. Congress.

As a member of the community, constituents have the right to contact their elected officials to express their opinions, seek assistance with government-related issues, or request information. Elected officials rely on feedback and input from their constituents to make informed decisions and govern effectively.
