What is a Debate?

Debate is a formal discussion or argumentation between people expressing differing points of view on a particular topic or issue. In a debate, participants present arguments, counterarguments, and evidence to support their position or refute the opposing side’s arguments. The goal of a debate is to persuade the audience or decision-makers of the validity of one’s perspective.

Debates are an essential part of the democratic process, allowing for the exchange of ideas, exploration of different viewpoints, and informed decision-making on important issues.
